Graduation Requirements

 

                                     Total Credits Required: 23 credits

 

  • English: 4 credits- English I, English II, English III, and English IV
  • Math: 4 credits- Integrated I, II, III and a fourth higher-level math course
  • Science: 3 credits - Biology, Chemistry or Physics, and a third lab science
  • Social Studies: 3 credits- World History & Geography, US History, Government (.5) and Economics (.5)
  • Personal Finance: .5 credit
  • Physical Education and Wellness: 1.5 credits- Wellness (1 credit) and PE II (.5 credit)
  • Fine Arts: 1 credit - Art I, Band, Chorus, General Music or Theatre I
  • World Language: 2 credits -  2 credits in the same language
  • Elective Focus: 3 credits 
  • Additional Elective: 1 credit

**In addition to the 23 credits required for graduation, students must also take the ACT and the Civics test.

 

Graduation with Honors

Meet or exceed all four ACT college-readiness benchmark scores:

       English - 18      Math- 22     Reading-22     Science-23

 

Graduation with Distinction

Students who attain a 3.0 GPA and complete at least one of the following:

  • Earn a nationally recognized industry certification
  • Participate in at least one of the Governor’s Schools
  • Participate in one of the state’s All State musical organizations
  • Be selected as a National Merit Finalist or Semi-Finalist
  • Attain a score of 31 or higher composite score on the ACT
  • Attain a score of 3 or higher on two or more advanced placement exams
  • Successfully complete the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programs
  • Earn 12 or more semester hours of postsecondary credit (4 Dual Enrollment courses, which are available junior and senior year.)
 
Eagleville School does not rank students numerically.
 

Valedictorian Requirements for the Graduating Class of 2023:

  • Highest GPA
  • 12 honors or above courses
  • Graduate with Distinction
 
*In the event multiple students meet the aforementioned criteria, then the highest ACT composite will determine the valedictorian.
