FAFSA Information:

The FAFSA application opens October 1st!  This is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and determines your eligibility for student financial aid.  All seniors must fill out the FAFSA at https://fafsa.ed.gov

 
HOPE Scholarship
Tennessee Hope Scholarships 2020-2021 | Apply Now
In order to receive the HOPE scholarship, students must have a 3.0 GPA or 21 on the ACT.  Hope awards $4,500 freshman year and $3,600 freshman year to 2-yr colleges in Tennessee.  
There is also the General Assembly Merit Scholarship for students who have a 3.75 GPA and at least a 29 ACT composite.  To apply for the HOPE scholarship, students must fill out the FAFSA.

SPECIFIC SCHOLARSHIPS
 
Hagan Scholarship
Amount:  Up to $7,500 each semester for up to 8 consecutive semesters
Deadline: December 1, 2025
 
Eligibility Requirements:
1. Must attend a high school located in the U.S.
2. Eligible high schools include public, private, charter, magnet, and STEM schools.  
3. Students can apply regardless of nationality or citizenship.
4. Must have achieved a 3.5 GPA.
5. Must enroll in a four-year college or university the fall semester following high school graduation.
6. Must maintain a four year or less graduation schedule.
7.  If awarded a scholarship, must work 240 hours from January 1, 2026 to September 1, 2026.  Employment must be regularly schedule work performed under supervision for compensation.  
8.  Parents 2024 Adjusted Gross Household Income must not have exceeded $100,000.  
9. FAFSA information is not required to apply.  Finalists must provide FAFSA information.  
10. Must apply for Federal and State grants if eligible.  
 
 
 
Tennessee Housing Association Scholarships
 
Number of Scholarships Awarded:  4
Amount of Scholarships:  2 @ $2,500 & 2 @ $5,000
Deadline:  4pm on March 5, 2026
 
Qualifications: 
Applicants MUST be associated with the manufactured or modular housing construction industry. 
For example: 
1. The student currently lives in a manufactured or modular home; or
2. The student has a close relative who works in the manufactured housing industry; or 
3. The student is currently working in the industry via one of the intern/apprenticeship programs; or 
4. The student is directly employed by a manufactured or modular housing construction-related company.

Middle Tennessee Electric Scholarship
 
Amount of Scholarship:  $2,000
Deadline:  March 15,2026
 
Qualifications:  
1. Must be a child of a MTE member
2. Incoming freshman or enrolled undergraduate/graduate student
3. Must complete all portions of the application including essay
4. Plans to attend Tennessee 2- or 4-year accredited college or trade school
