Hello!  Welcome to my 6th grade math page where you can find out the class supplies you need daily, what you should do in case of an absence, how you will be graded in 6th grade math, and a few other resources available to you to help you be successful in middle school!
I have very high expectations that all of my students treat their classmates, substitute teachers, faculty, administration, and staff (along with their property) with utmost respect and honor. Disrespect and bullying WILL NOT be tolerated, nor allowed. I have the same expectations of my students as I have had with my own personal family and we will encourage and help one another.
Work to your fullest potential without giving up!!!! A student who is not struggling is not learning.  ALL STUDENTS' IDEAS are encouraged, shared, accepted, and discussed in 6th grade math.

Absent?
You can click into Clever and click on Schoology to get your assignments.  If you are unable to access the content within Schoology when absent, please contact me [email protected]  to arrange delivery of the assignments.
Both parents and students have access to the grading portal in Skyward-the link is obtainable on both the School's webpage across the top bar of the page or here

HOMEWORK:

The only time a student should have homework is if the student did not finish the practice work during the allotted time given in math class.  When class practice work isn't completed during class time IT IS EXPECTED TO BE FINISHED AS HOMEWORK-always.

MAKE-UP WORK-Please check Skyward weekly to check for missing assignments!!

Students will only be given two weeks from the date that an assignment has been made to make up an assignment (10 points will be deducted for each week late within the two weeks allowed).  It will be the student's responsibility to check their grades and look for missing assignments.

REWORKED ASSIGNMENTS:

Students may rework a math practice with a grade of 79 or below. Please do not throw away ANY current nine week graded paper as the student must have the original graded paper to be granted rework opportunity! Students will only receive half the points back for each question that has been reworked correctly. TESTS, QUIZZES, AND Successmaker CAN NOT be reworked.

            RULES FOR RE-WORK:

  •       Students MUST HAVE the original graded paper they are reworking.
  •       Students should rework the missed questions ON A CLEAN SHEET OF NOTBOOK PAPER.
  •       One sheet of notebook paper for each assignment reworked.
  •       Staple the reworked problems on the notebook paper to the backside of the original graded assignment.
  •       Rework must be done within the week that the graded paper was given back to the student. Students will not be allowed to rework all papers, all at the same time near the end of a progress report period.
