Eagleville sophomore becomes first RCS student selected to the TSSAA Student Advisory Committee

RCS is proud to share that Eagleville sophomore Lawson Latta has been selected to serve on the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA)Student Advisory Committee for the 2026–2027 school year—becoming the first representative from Rutherford County Schools to earn this honor.

This statewide group of students gives student-athletes a voice in shaping the future of high school athletics, providing input on sportsmanship, leadership and the overall student experience.

Last year, Latta spent his summer interning with the Rutherford County Schools Communications Department.

At Eagleville, Lawson has been a member of the school’s football and baseball teams and is involved in FCA, DECA, Beta Club and Student Council, in addition to volunteering at a food pantry and his church. After high school, Lawson hopes to further his baseball career and earn a degree in integrated business marketing and communications.

Congratulations, Lawson! 👏
