About LTC Waldrip
My name is LTC Shawn Waldrip, and I am the Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) Senior Army Instructor (SAI) at Eagleville School. I served over 31 years in the Army as an Army Aviator. I have been a platform instructor for the Combined Arms and Services Staff School for three years, a Personnel Recovery Instructor for the 177th Separate Armored Brigade at Camp Shelby, Mississippi for two years, and five years as a Senior Military Instructor at Vanderbilt University Army ROTC.
I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. I earned my Master's Degree in Human Resources Management from Troy University in Dothan, Alabama. I am a graduate of the US Army's Command and General Staff Officer's Course, the Combined Arms and Services Staff School, and the Faculty Development Course.
I have served as a platoon leader, company commander, battalion commander, and as an operations and training officer, intelligence officer, aviation maintenance officer, and aviation logistics operations officer.
I served two tours in Afghanistan as an Aviation Logistician and Ground Government Flight Representative for the Aviation and Missile Command.
This is my first year as JROTC SAI and I am looking forward to working with all the Cadets for many years to come.
