Spanish I District Learning Module, April 6-10, 2020

Spanish I Students and Parents,
Get some great Spanish learning practice with the videos and activities in this module!!!  Remember to click on the "paper and pencil" icon beside each activity. Spanish III, IV Individual Learning Guide, April 13-17

Day 1 - Que Chevere Unit 3, B2,

State Standard 1.2 – Interpretive Communication/Listening

Focus: Learning/Reviewing Vocabulary B2:

Log Into Clever and Click on your EMC Passport Icon. Go to your student textbook, pg. 158, and click on the grammar video icon, in the top, right portion of the page.  Watch the video, then re-read the grammar instructions and examples on pg. 158 of your online textbook. 

On pg. 159, click on and complete practice Activity 31.

Go to pg. 165 and complete review activities A, B, C, and D.

Additional Review/Enrichment Options:  Choose one of the Youtube videos by SuperHolly that we’ve watched this year and view it again.  Then, email me the phrases/words you’d forgotten, along with their meanings.  Or, select a new SuperHolly video and watch it.  Email me the words/phrases you found most useful, explaining why.

 

Day 2 - Que Chevere Unit 3, B2,

State Standard 1.2 – Interpretive Communication/Listening

Focus:  Practicing and Producing Vocabulary B2:

Log into Clever and click on your EMC Passport Icon.  In your ¡Qué Chévere! Spanish 3 textbook, go to pg. 165 and click on the red, link icon.  Use the interactive games to review the chapter information from previous days.

On pg. 166, Click on the red, link icon to access the Quizlet review for all of Unit 3B.  View and practice pronounciation by also listening to the flashcards.  Complete  WRITE, MATCHING, and the TEST.  You have the option of emailing me to discuss your progress.

 

Day 3 

Standard C2.1: Investigate, draw comparisons between, and explain the interaction of practices and perspectives of the cultures studied

State Standard C3.1: Build, reinforce, and expand knowledge of other content areas while using the target language to develop critical thinking and to solve problems creatively.

Focus:  Cultural Connection and Reading Comprehension using Authentic Sources

Log into Clever and click on your EMC Passport Icon.  In your ¡Qué Chévere! Spanish 3 textbook, go to pg.168. Read and listen to the article over bullfighting in Spain.  Looking at the ¨Búsqueda¨ icon, click on the word ¨protesta¨.  Select one of the videos that appears in the search, and watch it.  Try to understand as much as you can.  You have the option to email me or a classmate about what you learned.

On pg. 168 of your text, complete activities C and D.

Then, read and respond to the Rincón de Arte over Picasso and the bullfighting connection.

Option:  Email me your English translation of the article in the ¨Rincón¨ or email a classmate through our school email, to compare translations.

 

 

Day 4

State Standard C1.2: Demonstrate understanding, interpret, and analyze what is heard on a variety of topics.

Standard C1.3: Interpret, analyze, and demonstrate understanding of written materials on a variety of topics.

Focus: Unit 41B Presentation of Vocabulary ¿Cómo Tratas A Tu Familia?

 Log onto your CLEVER accounts and using EMC Passport, listen/read p. 198-199 of your textbooks paying close attention to the white vocabulary words and the red highlighted vocabulary words in Para conversar p. 199. Notice how they’re used in context.

Watch the linked vocabulary video.  Try to understand as much as you can. Some of this will be review.

Click on the Quizlet flashcards link on p. 199.  Look through and listen to the audio for each vocab. flashcard. Then, do the LEARN, MATCHING and TEST sections until completed. You can screen shot your scores and email them to me, if you have questions or would like feedback.

 

 Read, listen to, and complete pg. 199, Act. 1 & 2.

 

 Read, Reflect, and Respond:

Log onto your CLEVER accounts and using EMC Passport, access your student edition. 

On pg. 200, carefully read and listen to the “Dialogo.”  Then, click on and respond to

Act. 4, 5, and 6.

 

Go to www.senorashby.com, then online lessons.  Click on lesson 5.2, “Informal Tu Commands.”

Tier 1 – Start with step 2 and watch all three videos.

Then, Complete Steps 3 and 4 (you may have to enable Adobe Flash for some of these.)

 

Para Practicar Options:  Respond to the following scenarios by giving a Spanish command that you feel is appropriate.  (Remember you can email me to get these checked for accuracy.)

1) Your friend is staring at you and it’s annoying.

2) Your brother/sister is in the way.

3)  You want your friend to call you tomorrow.

Day 1 - Reflection and Self Expression:  State Standard ML.C1.4.AM.a & c (Advanced Mid Learners create sequences of detailed sentences to communicate well-organized information about events concerninng professional or personal interest and indicate various time frames with frequent success.  
 
Read, translate, and respond to the following instructions.  
           
Vayan Uds. a sus correos electrónicos de la escuela.  Deben encontrar un email de mí, preguntandolas sobre estas tres semanas de vacación.  Respondan a las preguntas con oraciones completas en español.  (Si lo necesitan, repasen sus apuntes sobre el pretérito y el imperfecto, para comunicar los tiempos de los verbos correctamente.)
